Datasheets
  • INSC Antibody (G-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgM κ INSC antibody provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 251-274 within an internal region of INSC of human origin
  • recommended for detection of INSC of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for INSC Antibody (G-6) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with INSC Antibody (G-6) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

    SEE ALSO...

INSC Antibody (G-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects INSC protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-INSC antibody (G-6) is available as the non-conjugated form. INSC protein, also known as inscuteable homolog, is a 579 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in cellular processes by interacting with key proteins such as PAR-3, AGS3, nucleobindin, and PARD3B. This interaction is significant as INSC may function as an adapter that links the Par3 complex to the AGS3/nucleobindin complex, which is essential for proper spindle orientation during mitosis. INSC is involved in regulating differentiation and cell proliferation in the developing nervous system, influencing asymmetric division of fibroblasts, and participating in stratification of squamous epithelium. Localized primarily in the cytoplasm, INSC is expressed in fetal cochlea and exists as five isoforms due to alternative splicing events. Isoform 1 is widely expressed across various tissues, with notably higher levels in liver, kidney, and small intestine, while Isoform 2 shows abundant expression in small intestine, with lower levels detected in lung and pancreas.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-514398 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
