ILT-4 Antibody (42D1) is a rat monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects ILT-4 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and flow cytometry (FCM). ILT-4 (42D1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including phycoerythrin (PE) and fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC). ILT-4, also known as LIR-2, MIR-10, or CD85d antigen, plays a crucial role in immune regulation by competing with CD8A for binding to class I major histocompatibility complex (MHC) antigens, thereby modulating T cell responses. This interaction is vital for maintaining immune homeostasis, as ILT-4 helps prevent excessive activation of T cells, which can lead to autoimmune diseases. ILT-4 is predominantly expressed on monocytes, B cells, dendritic cells, natural killer (NK) cells, and various tissues, including the placenta, lung, and liver. The presence of a cytoplasmic immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motif (ITIM) in ILT-4 allows for initiation of an inhibitory signaling cascade upon ligand binding, further emphasizing ILT-4′s importance in immune regulation. Anti-ILT-4 antibody (42D1) serves as an essential tool for researchers studying immune mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets in immunology.
