Datasheets
  • ILPIP Antibody (F-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgM κ ILPIP antibody provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 66-85 near the N-terminus of ILPIP of human origin
  • recommended for detection of ILPIP-α of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA; also reactive with additional species, including and equine, bovine and porcine
  • At present, we have not yet completed the identification of the preferred secondary detection reagent(s) for ILPIP Antibody (F-10). This work is in progress.

    SEE ALSO...

ILPIP Antibody (F-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgM kappa antibody that detects ILPIP protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ILPIP antibody (F-10) is available as the non-conjugated form. ILPIP protein, also known as ILP-interacting protein or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis 2 juvenile chromosome region gene 2 (ALS2CR2), plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by interacting with X-linked IAP (XIAP), a member of the inhibitor of apoptosis protein (IAP) family. This interaction is significant because IAPs, including XIAP, are known to inhibit caspases, which are essential for the execution phase of apoptosis. By enhancing XIAP-mediated activation of the TGFβ-activated kinase 1/c-Jun NH2-terminal kinase 1 (TAK1/JNK1) signaling pathway, ILPIP contributes to cellular protection against apoptosis induced by interleukin-1β and FAS. Notably, the protective effect of ILPIP against apoptosis is caspase-independent, highlighting ILPIP′s potential as a therapeutic target in cancer, where IAPs are implicated in the development and progression of both solid tumors and hematologic malignancies. When expressed alone, ILPIP moderately activates the TAK1/JNK1 signaling pathway, underscoring ILPIP′s role in modulating cell survival and apoptosis.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-390494 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
