IL-9 Antibody (H-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects IL-9 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IL-9 (H-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Interleukin-9, or IL-9, is a crucial TH2 cytokine that plays a significant role in immune responses, particularly in promoting the growth and differentiation of T helper cells. IL-9 is primarily secreted by activated T cells and has been implicated in various allergic and autoimmune conditions due to its ability to enhance the survival and proliferation of mast cells and eosinophils. IL-9 exerts biological effects through the interleukin-9 receptor, IL-9R, which is composed of at least two subunits: the common gamma chain shared with other interleukin receptors and a specific subunit unique to IL-9R. This receptor interaction is vital for mediating the diverse functions of IL-9, including its role in the pathogenesis of asthma and other allergic diseases, making IL-9 an important target for therapeutic intervention.
