IL-7R Antibody (G-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects IL-7R of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IL-7R (G-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. IL-7R plays a crucial role in the immune system, particularly in lymphocyte development and homeostasis. IL-7R is primarily located on the surface of pre-B cells, thymocytes, and bone marrow-derived macrophages, where IL-7R facilitates the survival and proliferation of these immune cells. IL-7R is composed of an IL-7 receptor-specific chain and the common gamma chain, which is shared with other interleukin receptors. This structural arrangement is vital for IL-7R function, as IL-7R allows for the activation of downstream signaling pathways, including the Janus kinase family members JAK1 and JAK3, upon IL-7 binding. The interaction of IL-7 with IL-7R is essential for maintaining T cell homeostasis and promoting the development of T cells from progenitor cells, highlighting IL-7R importance in adaptive immunity.
