IL-3 Antibody (G-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects IL-3 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IL-3 Antibody (G-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Interleukin-3, or IL-3, is a crucial pleiotropic cytokine primarily secreted by activated T lymphocytes, playing a vital role in proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic cells. IL-3 is predominantly located in extracellular space, where IL-3 binds to a specific receptor, composed of a ligand-specific α subunit and a common β subunit shared with IL-5 and granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor receptors. This receptor interaction initiates signaling cascades leading to activation of various transcription factors, including Stat5, which are critical for cell survival and proliferation. IL-3′s importance in hematopoiesis and immune response is underscored by IL-3′s ability to support growth of pluripotent stem cells and committed progenitors, as well as providing protective effects against apoptosis in mast cells. The carboxy terminus of β subunit is particularly significant for activating MAP kinase signaling pathway, highlighting intricate regulatory mechanisms involved in IL-3 signaling and broader implications in immune function and hematological disorders.
