IL-21R Antibody (H-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects IL-21R protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IL-21R (H-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. IL-21 receptor, also known as IL-21R, NILR, or novel interleukin receptor, is a type I cytokine receptor that plays a crucial role in immune regulation by forming a complex with the common gamma chain (γc) to mediate IL-21 signaling. IL-21R is predominantly located on the surface of natural killer cells, B cells, and T cells, with particularly high expression levels in the spleen and thymus, which are vital sites for lymphocyte development and function. IL-21 and IL-21R interaction is essential for promoting lymphoid proliferation and facilitating the transition from innate to adaptive immunity. Notably, tumor necrosis factor (TNF) can upregulate IL-21R expression, and TNF and IL-21 combination has been shown to synergistically enhance myeloma cell proliferation through signaling pathways involving the phosphorylation of JAK1, Stat3, and Erk1/2. Human IL-21R gene is located on chromosome 16p11 and encodes a 538 amino acid protein that shares a 62% sequence identity with mouse Il21r, highlighting the evolutionary conservation of this important immune receptor.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-137120 P appropriate for?

Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
