IL-20Rα (Interleukin-20 receptor subunit alpha) is a type II cytokine receptor chain that pairs with IL-20Rβ to form functional receptor complexes for IL-19, IL-20, and IL-24 in rat cells. Ligand engagement promotes JAK/STAT signaling, most prominently STAT3-dependent transcriptional programs that regulate epithelial barrier responses, keratinocyte differentiation, and inflammatory gene expression. IL-20Rα activity is frequently studied in the context of cytokine-driven skin and mucosal inflammation, tissue remodeling, and cross-talk between stromal and immune compartments.
