IL-1Rrp2 Antibody (5G5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects IL-1Rrp2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-IL-1Rrp2 antibody (5G5) is available as the non-conjugated format. IL-1Rrp2 protein, also known as Interleukin-1 receptor-related protein 2 or IL1RL2, is a crucial member of the interleukin-1/Toll-like receptor family, showing significant expression in brain, skin, and mucosal epithelial cells. IL-1Rrp2 plays a role in mediating key signaling pathways, including NFκB and MAPK activation, which are essential for inflammatory responses triggered by IL-1F6, IL-1F8, and IL-1F9 ligands. IL-1Rrp2 shares 42% homology with the interleukin-1 type 1 receptor and 26% homology with the interleukin-1 type 2 receptor, indicating evolutionary significance and functional similarities. Signaling through IL-1Rrp2 requires IL-1RAcP (Interleukin-1 accessory protein), highlighting IL-1Rrp2′s role in immune defense mechanisms, particularly in the gastrointestinal tract and skin. IL-1Rrp2 may contribute to rheumatoid arthritis pathogenesis, making IL-1Rrp2 a potential therapeutic target.
