IL-1α Antibody (G-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects IL-1α of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IL-1α Antibody (G-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. IL-1α is a key pro-inflammatory cytokine playing a vital role in immune response and inflammation. IL-1α is primarily produced by activated macrophages and proves crucial for immune cell activation regulation, particularly in T and B lymphocytes, as well as natural killer (NK) cells. IL-1α is located in the cytoplasm and can be released upon cell activation, binding to IL-1 receptor to initiate signaling pathways that lead to inflammatory mediator production. This cytoplasmic localization allows for rapid response to inflammatory stimuli, making IL-1α a critical player in both protective immune responses and pathological conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and inflammatory bowel disease. IL-1α′s influence on various immune cells underscores its importance in maintaining homeostasis and mediating inflammation, highlighting IL-1α′s potential as a therapeutic target in diseases characterized by dysregulated immune responses.
