IL-15 Antibody (YNR-HIL15) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects interleukin-15 (IL-15) in human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IL-15 is a crucial cytokine that plays a significant role in the immune response by stimulating the proliferation of T cells and natural killer (NK) cells, as well as enhancing B cell expansion and antibody production. Notably, IL-15 is produced by non-lymphoid cells such as macrophages, epithelial cells, muscle tissue, and the placenta, distinguishing IL-15 from IL-2, which is primarily produced by lymphocytes. The unique production profile of IL-15 allows for a broader range of immune modulation, particularly in tissue repair and inflammation. Additionally, IL-15 has been shown to act as a chemoattractant for human blood T lymphocytes and can induce lymphokine-activated killer (LAK) activity in NK cells, further emphasizing IL-15′s role in enhancing immune responses. IL-15 consists of a 162 amino acid precursor that undergoes cleavage to yield its mature form, and IL-15 shares the β signaling subunit of the IL-2 receptor, indicating a complex interplay with other cytokines in the immune system. Anti-IL-15 antibody (YNR-HIL15) is an essential tool for researchers studying immune responses, cytokine signaling, and the therapeutic potential of IL-15 in various diseases.
