SEE ALSO...

IgG Antibody (D-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects IgG of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IgG Antibody (D-1) is available in non-conjugated form and various conjugates, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® options. IgG, the most abundant immunoglobulin in bloodstream and extracellular fluid, plays a crucial role in immune response, particularly during secondary immune responses. IgG consists of two heavy (γ) chains and two light (κ or λ) chains, forming two distinct regions: the Fab (antigen-binding) fragment with two antigen-binding sites, and the Fc (constant) fragment. This structure enables specific binding to various pathogens, including viruses, bacteria, and fungi, facilitating their neutralization and clearance. IgG stands unique among immunoglobulin isotypes in crossing the placenta, providing essential protection to developing fetuses before their immune systems fully develop. This protective function highlights IgG′s importance in maternal and neonatal immunity, making anti-IgG antibody (D-1) valuable for studying immune responses and related applications.

É possível usar este produto como anticorpo secundário para detetar IgG de origem canina em cortes histológicos, imunohistoquímica?

Asked by: Anonymous
Thank you for your question. No, this mouse monoclonal IgG antibody, sc-515946, is a primary antibody and can not be used as a secondary antibody reagent. This antibody is recommended for IHC on human samples, but has not yet been tested in dog samples and so that is not a recommended species at this time.
