IGF-IRβ Antibody (D-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa antibody that targets an epitope mapping between amino acids 1333-1366 at the C-terminus of human IGF-IRβ, also known as insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor beta or CD221. IGF-IRβ monoclonal antibody (D-11) is validated for use in western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), with species reactivity in mouse, rat, and human. IGF-IR is a receptor tyrosine kinase encoded by the IGF-IR gene on chromosome 15q26.3, composed of extracellular α subunits and transmembrane β subunits containing a tyrosine kinase domain. Post-translational modifications, such as phosphorylation of tyrosine residues within the β subunit, are critical for activating downstream signaling pathways, including the Ras-ERK and PI3K-AKT cascades. These modifications allow IGF-IR to regulate cellular processes such as growth, survival, and metabolism by modulating the activity of transcription factors and other signaling molecules. IGF-IR also undergoes glycosylation, which is essential for proper folding, stability, and cell surface localization. Dysregulation of IGF-IR or its post-translational modifications has been implicated in cancer, where IGF-IR can contribute to tumor progression and resistance to apoptosis. IGF-IRβ (D-11) antibody is an important tool for studying the functional and regulatory mechanisms of IGF-IR in normal cellular processes and disease states.
