IgA/G/M light chain Antibody (7A9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a light chain antibody that detects the IgA/G/M light chain protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IgA/G/M light chain (7A9) antibody is available as the non-conjugated format. The immunoglobulin (Ig) molecule is crucial for the immune response, consisting of two paired chains: a light chain and a heavy chain. Each light and heavy chain contains both a constant and a variable amino acid sequence, with the variable regions determining the specificity of the antibody. The IgA, G, and M heavy chain types are particularly significant as they play distinct roles in immune function; for instance, IgA is primarily found in mucosal areas and is essential for mucosal immunity, while IgG is the most abundant antibody in serum and provides long-term protection against pathogens. Additionally, the formation of junctional blisters in conditions like bullous amyloidosis, where amyloid deposits are composed of lambda light-chain immunoglobulins, highlights the importance of understanding the interactions and functions of these light chains in various pathological contexts.
