Ig J chain Antibody (F-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Ig J chain protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Ig J chain (F-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Immunoglobulin J chain (Ig J chain) functions as a linker protein that facilitates immunoglobulin A (IgA) and immunoglobulin M (IgM) assembly into functional forms. J chain enables IgA dimer and IgM pentamer formation, which are vital for effective immune responses. J chain promotes immunoglobulin polymerization, enhancing binding to secretory components and facilitating transport across epithelial barriers for mucosal immunity.
