ICK Antibody (G-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects ICK protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ICK antibody (G-8) is available as the non-conjugated form. Intestinal cell kinase (ICK), also known as MRK, LCK2, KIAA0936, and MGC46090, plays a crucial role in cellular processes as a nuclear Cdc2-related kinase. ICK is primarily located in the nucleus, where ICK is involved in regulating cell cycle progression and cellular differentiation. Nuclear localization allows ICK to interact with various substrates essential for proper cell cycle functioning, influencing cell proliferation and survival. ICK′s unique structure includes a highly conserved N-terminal catalytic domain similar to male germ cell-associated kinase (MAK), enabling effective kinase activity. Additionally, ICK′s C-terminal noncatalytic domain diverges from MAK, suggesting specialized functions critical for intestinal and germ cell development. ICK activation is tightly regulated through post-translational modifications, particularly phosphorylation, which is essential for kinase activity and overall function in cellular signaling pathways.
