ICAM-3 Antibody (ICAM 3.2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects ICAM-3 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). ICAM-3, also known as CD50 and ICAM-R, is a type I membrane protein that plays a crucial role in immune responses by facilitating cell-cell interactions, particularly during T cell activation and migration. ICAM-3 is primarily located on the surface of leukocytes, where anti-ICAM-3 antibody (ICAM 3.2) acts as a counter-receptor for the leukocyte integrin αLβ2, thereby promoting the adhesion and activation of T cells and polymorphonuclear leukocytes. ICAM-3′s location in the immune system is essential for proper functioning of immune surveillance and response during inflammation. Additionally, RANTES, a chemokine that attracts T lymphocytes to sites of inflammation, induces ICAM-3 expression, further highlighting ICAM-3′s role in modulating immune responses. ICAM-3 also interacts with Moesin through its cytoplasmic domain, linking ICAM-3 to the cytoskeleton and influencing cellular morphology during locomotion.
