    SEE ALSO...

HTR3D Antibody (G-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects HTR3D protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HTR3D (G-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HTR3D protein, also known as serotonin receptor 3D, plays a crucial role in the central nervous system as part of the 5-HT3 receptor complex, which is essential for mediating fast synaptic transmission in response to serotonin, a key neurotransmitter involved in regulating mood, sleep, and appetite. Structurally, HTR3D is a multi-pass membrane protein composed of 454 amino acids and is one of the five subunits that form the pentaheteromeric 5-HT3 receptor, which requires co-expression with the SR-3A subunit to achieve functional activity. HTR3D is primarily localized in the endoplasmic reticulum until complexing with SR-3A, and expression is restricted to specific tissues, including the kidney, colon, and liver. Alternative splicing of the HTR3D gene results in three distinct isoforms, which may have implications for functional diversity and regulatory mechanisms in various physiological contexts.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-515279 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
