HSV-1/2 ICP27 Antibody (H1142) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects the HSV-1/2 ICP27 protein of HSV-1 and HSV-2 origin by western blotting (WB) and immunofluorescence (IF). HSV-1/2 ICP27 Antibody (H1142) is available as a non-conjugated anti-HSV-1/2 ICP27 antibody (H1142). The Infected Cell Polypeptide 27 (ICP27) plays a crucial role in the life cycle of the herpes simplex virus, as ICP27 is essential for the virus′s ability to hijack the host cell′s machinery to produce viral components. Located primarily in the nucleus, ICP27 is a phosphoprotein that facilitates several key processes during viral infection, including the modulation of host gene expression and the enhancement of viral gene transcription. What is the difference between H1142 and H1113? If I want to determine the HSV1 ICP27 which were tranfected in 293T, which one should I choose?

Thank you for your question. Both of these IgG1 antibodies are very similar, but they recognize different epitopes. They are also both recommended for detection of ICP27 of HSV-1 and HSV-2 origin by WB and IF, so either would be fine for use in those assays. PMID 25665578 cites use of sc-69806 in HEK293 cells.
