HSV-1/2 ICP27 Antibody (H1113) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects ICP27 protein of HSV-1 and HSV-2 by western blotting (WB) and immunofluorescence (IF). Anti-ICP27 antibody (H1113) is essential for understanding the role of Infected Cell Polypeptide 27, a nuclear phosphoprotein that plays a critical role in the viral life cycle by facilitating the efficient production of viral gene products during lytic infection. ICP27 monoclonal antibody (H1113) targets a protein that contributes to the shut-off of host protein synthesis, stimulates early gene expression and DNA replication, leading to the induction of late viral gene products. ICP27 (H1113) antibody recognizes a protein that operates primarily at the post-transcriptional level, influencing key RNA processing events such as polyadenylation, splicing, and nuclear RNA export. ICP27′s ability to modulate these processes is crucial for the virus′s ability to hijack the host′s cellular machinery, making it a significant target for research into antiviral strategies and therapeutic interventions.
