HoxD8 Antibody (E-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects HoxD8 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-HoxD8 antibody (E-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HoxD8, also known as HOX4E, is a crucial transcription factor composed of 290 amino acids that plays a significant role in regulating gene expression during embryonic development. HoxD8 is localized in the nucleus and contains a homeobox DNA-binding domain, which allows binding to specific DNA sequences and regulates transcription of target genes. This function is vital for proper positioning of developing limb buds along the anterior-posterior axis, influencing morphogenesis of limbs and other structures. Aberrations in HoxD8 expression can lead to developmental disorders and contribute to pathogenesis of certain leukemias, highlighting HoxD8′s importance in both normal development and disease.
