HoxA5 Antibody (C-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects HoxA5 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HoxA5 is a crucial transcriptional regulator that plays a significant role in the expression of multiple target genes, including the tumor suppressor p53 and the progesterone receptor, making HoxA5 vital for cellular responses to DNA damage, particularly in breast cancer cells. HoxA5 expression is dynamic during gut development and organogenesis of the respiratory tract, with continuous expression in cerebellar Purkinje cells from the neonatal period into adulthood. HoxA5 is essential for the region-specific differentiation of the endoderm and the myeloid lineage, which underscores HoxA5′s role in hematopoiesis. HoxA5 is critical for the proper specification of the cervical and upper thoracic regions of the skeleton, contributing to the correct patterning of the embryo.
