HoxA5 Antibody (C-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects HoxA5 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HoxA5 (C-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HoxA5, previously known as Hox-1.3, plays a critical role as a transcriptional regulator, influencing the expression of several target genes, such as p53 and the progesterone receptor. HoxA5′s function as a potent transactivator of p53 is particularly significant, as HoxA5 may modulate the response of breast cancer cells to DNA damage, highlighting HoxA5′s importance in cancer biology. Notably, in primary breast carcinomas, the loss of p53 expression correlates with decreased HoxA5 expression, indicating HoxA5′s crucial role in tumorigenesis. Furthermore, HoxA5 is dynamically expressed during gut development and organogenesis of the respiratory tract, maintaining expression from the neonatal period into adulthood in cerebellar Purkinje cells. HoxA5 expression is essential for the region-specific differentiation of the endoderm and the myeloid lineage, as well as for the correct specification of the cervical and upper thoracic regions of the skeleton, underscoring HoxA5′s vital role in embryonic patterning and development.
