HoxA5 Antibody (C-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects HoxA5 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-HoxA5 antibody (C-10) is available in a non-conjugated form, allowing for versatile experimental use. HoxA5, previously known as Hox-1.3, plays a critical role as a transcriptional regulator, influencing the expression of multiple target genes, including the tumor suppressor p53 and the progesterone receptor. HoxA5 expression is essential in the cellular response to DNA damage, particularly in breast cancer cells, where HoxA5 acts as a potent transactivator of p53. Loss of HoxA5 expression in primary breast carcinomas correlates with the loss of p53, highlighting HoxA5′s potential role in tumorigenesis. HoxA5 is dynamically expressed during gut development and organogenesis of the respiratory tract, maintaining expression from the neonatal period into adulthood in cerebellar Purkinje cells. HoxA5 expression is crucial for the region-specific differentiation of the endoderm and the myeloid lineage, as well as for the correct specification of the cervical and upper thoracic regions of the skeleton, underscoring HoxA5′s essential role in embryonic patterning and development.
