HoxA10 Antibody (E-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects HoxA10 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HoxA10 plays a crucial role in embryonic development as a transcriptional regulator, particularly in the genitourinary tract and the adult uterus, where HoxA10 expression is tightly regulated by hormonal changes. HoxA10 expression increases during the midsecretory phase of the menstrual cycle, aligning with elevated progesterone levels, which is essential for preparing the endometrium for potential implantation. Studies show that HoxA10 expression in cultured endometrial cells is enhanced by progesterone and inhibited by the progesterone receptor antagonist RU486. Differential expression of HoxA10 in the myometrium throughout the menstrual cycle highlights HoxA10′s importance in reproductive health, as decreased expression during high progesterone levels may have implications for conditions such as endometriosis. Female patients with endometriosis show a lack of the expected mid-luteal increase in uterine Hox gene expression, suggesting a potential link between HoxA10 dysregulation and the pathology of this disease. Anti-HoxA10 antibody (E-12) is therefore a valuable tool for researchers investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying reproductive biology and related disorders.
