HMG-2L1 Antibody (F-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects HMG-2L1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-HMG-2L1 antibody (F-10) is available as the non-conjugated form. The high mobility group (HMG) proteins, including HMG-2L1, are critical non-histone components of chromatin that play a significant role in gene expression regulation. HMG proteins bind to the minor groove of AT-rich DNA sequences, leading to structural changes like bending and unwinding. Such DNA architecture alterations facilitate transcription factor binding and other regulatory proteins, enhancing transcriptional activity. HMG-2L1, also known as HMGBCG, belongs to the HMG chromosomal protein superfamily and features a single HMG box DNA binding domain, unlike other HMG proteins with an acidic C-terminal tail.
