    SEE ALSO...

HLA-G Antibody (6D463) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects HLA-G in human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. HLA-G is a non-classical major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I molecule that plays a crucial role in immune tolerance, particularly during pregnancy, by protecting the fetus from maternal immune rejection. HLA-G (6D463) antibody targets a protein primarily expressed in trophoblast cells of the placenta, where HLA-G helps to modulate the maternal immune response, ensuring a favorable environment for fetal development. The unique expression pattern of HLA-G, along with HLA-G′s ability to inhibit natural killer cell activity and promote regulatory T cell development, underscores its importance in maintaining immune homeostasis. HLA-G′s structure, characterized by a limited polymorphism and the presence of soluble isoforms, further enhances its functional versatility, allowing HLA-G to interact with various receptors and signaling pathways that are vital for immune regulation. Anti-HLA-G antibody (6D463) is an essential tool for researchers studying immune tolerance mechanisms and the role of HLA-G in reproductive immunology and related fields.

Can sc-71263: HLA-G (6D463) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

    Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-71263: HLA-G (6D463) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
