SEE ALSO...

HLA-DR Antibody (TAL 1B5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody designed to recognize the human HLA-DR protein, a critical component of the Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) Class II family, also known as Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC) Class II DR. HLA-DR protein is a heterodimer composed of alpha and beta chains, each undergoing essential post-translational modifications such as glycosylation, which are crucial for proper protein folding, stability, and cell surface expression. These glycosylation events facilitate HLA-DR′s ability to present exogenous antigens to CD4+ helper T-cells, thereby playing a vital role in initiating and regulating adaptive immune responses. Located on the surface of antigen-presenting cells like B cells, dendritic cells, and macrophages, HLA-DR is integral to the immune system′s ability to distinguish self from non-self, making HLA-DR essential for processes such as pathogen recognition, autoimmune disease development, and transplant compatibility. Anti-HLA-DR antibody (TAL 1B5) effectively detects HLA-DR of mouse, rat, and human origin in various applications, including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), providing researchers with versatile tools for studying HLA-DR expression and function. HLA-DR genes, located on chromosome 6p21, exhibit polymorphisms that influence immune responses and disease susceptibility, underscoring the importance of precise HLA-DR detection in both research and clinical diagnostics. HLA-DR monoclonal antibody (TAL 1B5) enables scientists to gain deeper insights into antigen presentation mechanisms, investigate the molecular basis of immune-related diseases, and develop targeted therapeutic strategies, thereby advancing immunological research and clinical applications.

What is your suggested secondary reagent for this mouse monoclonal HLA-DR Antibody?

Asked by: Anna99
Instead of a traditional secondary, we recommend using our new Mouse IgG kappa Binding Protein HRP, sc-516102. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
