SEE ALSO...

HLA-DM Antibody (MaP.DM1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects HLA-DM protein of human origin by immunofluorescence (IF) and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-HLA-DM antibody (MaP.DM1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HLA-DM plays a crucial role in the immune response by facilitating the loading of peptides onto major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II molecules, which are essential for the activation of CD4+ T cells. Specifically, HLA-DM assists in the removal of class II-associated invariant chain peptides (CLIP) from the MHC class II binding groove, allowing for the binding of exogenous peptides that are vital for T cell recognition. This process is particularly important in the context of autoimmune diseases, as variations in the HLA-DM gene have been linked to susceptibility to conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis. Understanding HLA-DM function and interactions within the immune system provides valuable insights into immune regulation mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets for autoimmune disorders.

How can HLA-DM (MaP.DM1): sc-32248 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

Asked by: cjMara
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-32248 PE) or fluoroscein (sc-32248 FITC).
