SEE ALSO...

Histamine H3 Receptor Antibody (D-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects Histamine H3 Receptor of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Histamine H3 Receptor antibody (D-5) is available as the non-conjugated form. Histamine H3 receptor functions as an autoreceptor in the central nervous system (CNS) to modulate histamine synthesis and release. Histamine H3 receptor also regulates various neurotransmitters, maintaining homeostasis in the CNS and other systems, including cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, and respiratory functions. The human Histamine H3 receptor gene is located on chromosome 20 and produces six alternative splice variants, which influence receptor activity and pharmacological responses. These isoforms, differing in transmembrane and intracellular loop structures, indicate that Histamine H3 receptor signaling can be finely tuned through alternative splicing mechanisms. Due to the role in neurotransmitter regulation and responsiveness to various agonists and antagonists, Histamine H3 receptor serves as a promising therapeutic target for conditions such as asthma, epilepsy, and cardiac ischemia.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-390140 P appropriate for?

Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
