Datasheets
  • HIP2 Antibody (H-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 κ HIP2 antibody provided at 200 µg/ml
  • raised against amino acids 1-100 mapping at the N-terminus of HIP2 of human origin
  • recommended for detection of HIP2 of mouse, rat, human and avian origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA; also reactive with additional species, including and canine, bovine, porcine and avian
  • m-IgG3 BP-HRP and m-IgGκ BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for HIP2 Antibody (H-6) for WB and IHC(P) applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with HIP2 Antibody (H-6) (see ordering information below).

    SEE ALSO...

HIP2 Antibody (H-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects HIP2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-HIP2 antibody (H-6) is available as the non-conjugated form. HIP2, a crucial component in cellular processes, is primarily located in the cytoplasm and interacts with Huntingtin, a protein associated with Huntington′s disease. This interaction plays a significant role in maintaining membrane-cytoskeletal integrity, essential for proper neuronal function. Disruption of HIP2-Huntingtin interaction can lead to cellular dysfunction and contribute to neurodegenerative disease pathogenesis. While Huntingtin-HIP1 interaction is influenced by polyglutamine length in Huntingtin, HIP2 interaction remains stable regardless of this modification, highlighting potential therapeutic applications. With broad species reactivity and multiple applications, HIP2 (H-6) antibody serves as an invaluable tool for studying molecular mechanisms underlying Huntington′s disease and related disorders.

Can HIP2 (H-6): sc-390339 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

    Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your question. Yes, HIP2 (H-6): sc-390339 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
