Hep B sAg Antibody (RM1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Hep B sAg of Hepatitis B by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Hep B sAg is a crucial protein antigen produced by the Hepatitis B virus, which belongs to the Hepadnavirus family and causes significant liver inflammation, jaundice, and in severe cases, death. Hep B sAg presence in the bloodstream serves as one of the earliest indicators of Hepatitis B infection, appearing before clinical symptoms manifest. Early detection enables timely diagnosis and management of the disease, as Hepatitis B infection increases risk of developing hepatocellular carcinoma, with over 250 million people currently infected worldwide. HBx protein, encoded by one of the four open reading frames in the virus′s partially double-stranded 3.2 kilobase DNA genome, influences various cellular processes and immune responses during viral life cycle and pathogenesis. Anti-Hep B sAg antibody (RM1) serves as an essential tool for researchers and clinicians studying Hepatitis B virus infections and their implications on liver health.
