    SEE ALSO...

Hemogen Antibody (G-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Hemogen in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Hemogen antibody (G-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Hemogen, also known as hemopoietic gene protein or erythroid differentiation-associated gene protein, is a 484 amino acid nuclear protein encoded by HEMGN. Hemogen (G-2) antibody targets a protein that plays a crucial role in hematopoiesis, particularly in erythroid cell differentiation, which is vital for red blood cell production. Hemogen expression is primarily observed in hematopoietic precursor cells, including CD34+ cells and K-562 leukemia cell line, as well as in bone marrow, testis, thymus, and thyroid tumors. Hemogen (G-2) monoclonal antibody recognizes a protein implicated in non-Hodgkin lymphoma and various leukemia cell lines, with expression modulated by external factors; for instance, Hemogen is down-regulated during megakaryocytic differentiation in K-562 cells when treated with 12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate (TPA) at protein level, while up-regulated in normal peripheral blood mononuclear cells by mitogens. This dynamic regulation of Hemogen underscores its importance in both normal hematopoiesis and disease states, making anti-Hemogen antibody (G-2) a valuable research tool.
