SEE ALSO...

HB9 Antibody (F-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects HB9 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HB9 (F-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HB9, a homeobox transcription factor, plays a critical role in regulating gene expression during embryonic development and in specific adult tissues, particularly in motor neuron differentiation. HB9 function is essential for motor neuron column formation; in HB9-deficient mice, these columns are disorganized, leading to significant nerve defects such as absent phrenic and abducens nerves. Mutations in HB9 are associated with Curriano syndrome, presenting a triad of developmental anomalies including presacral tumor, sacral agenesis, and anorectal malformation. In human bone marrow, HB9 expression correlates with CD34 expression, with increased levels in CD34+ cells treated with interleukin-3 and granulocyte macrophage-colony-stimulating factor, highlighting HB9′s importance in hematopoietic development. During early murine development, HB9 is expressed in pancreatic buds and later in differentiating beta cells within the islets of Langerhans, indicating a vital role in pancreatic development and function. HB9 absence leads to underdeveloped pancreatic structures, underscoring HB9′s significance in both embryonic and adult physiology.
