HAUSP Antibody (F-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects HAUSP (herpesvirus-associated ubiquitin-specific protease, USP7) in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HAUSP plays a critical role in cellular regulation by functioning as a ubiquitin-specific protease that deubiquitinizes key proteins, most notably p53, which is essential for maintaining genomic stability and regulating the cell cycle. HAUSP (F-2) antibody recognizes a protein that stabilizes p53, even in the presence of excess Mdm2, underscoring its importance in tumor suppression and the cellular response to stress. By localizing predominantly in the nucleus, HAUSP interacts with ND10 structures, which are involved in various cellular processes such as stress response, oncogenesis, and viral infection. The gene encoding HAUSP is located on human chromosome band 16p13.2, and its unique distribution pattern within the nucleus, characterized by a micropunctate arrangement with larger discrete foci, facilitates its interaction with other nuclear proteins, including PML, further emphasizing its role in cellular homeostasis and response mechanisms.
