SEE ALSO...

HAS3 Antibody (G-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects HAS3 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HAS3 (G-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HAS3, part of the hyaluronic acid synthase family, is crucial for synthesizing hyaluronic acid (HA), a vital component of the extracellular matrix that contributes to tissue hydration, elasticity, and cellular signaling. Unlike HAS1 and HAS2, which produce high molecular weight HA, HAS3 generates lower molecular weight HA, which plays distinct roles in cellular processes. HAS3 expression is particularly important in the epidermis, where interferon-gamma significantly upregulates and transforming growth factor-beta downregulates HAS3, indicating involvement in inflammatory responses and tissue repair mechanisms. Human HAS3 gene is located on chromosome 16q22.1, and expression is more pronounced in actively growing cells, highlighting an essential role in development and cellular dynamics.

Hi, have you tested HAS3 (G-12) sc-365322 for the use in flow cytometry and if so, are there any protocols you can recommend? Thank you very much!

Asked by: Christian Hundhausen
Thank you for your question. We recommend the conjugates with Alexa Fluor® 488, 546, 594, and 647 of HAS3 (G-12): sc-365322 for use in flow cytometry. You can find our recommended protocol for flow cytometry by following this link: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/flow-cytometry

I am using HAS3 (G-12): sc-365322 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: TinTin
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
