HAPLN2 Antibody (F-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects HAPLN2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-HAPLN2 antibody (F-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HAPLN2, also known as hyaluronan and proteoglycan link protein 2 or brain link protein 1, consists of 340 amino acids and is encoded by the human gene HAPLN2. HAPLN2 plays a crucial role in the central nervous system by mediating the binding of versican V2 to hyaluronic acid, contributing to the formation of the hyaluronan-associated matrix. This matrix is essential for neuronal conduction and structural stabilization, supporting the integrity of perineuronal nets that surround neurons. HAPLN2 is predominantly located in several nuclei throughout the midbrain and hindbrain, where HAPLN2 presence in a perineuronal net pattern underscores HAPLN2′s importance in maintaining the extracellular environment necessary for optimal neuronal function. HAPLN2′s ability to interact with other extracellular matrix components highlights HAPLN2′s potential role in neuroprotection and the modulation of synaptic activity, making HAPLN2 a significant target for research in neurobiology and related fields.

Are there any issues with using sc-376797: HAPLN2 (F-7) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-376797 conjugates.
