H60 Antibody (E-18) is a rat monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects H60 protein of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB) and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-H60 antibody (E-18) is available as the non-conjugated form. H60 protein plays a crucial role in immune response, particularly in natural killer (NK) cell activation, which is essential for targeting and eliminating tumor and infected cells. H60, along with Rae-1, serves as a ligand for NKG2D receptor, which is pivotal in mediating NK cell recognition and response to abnormal cells. H60 expression is typically low or absent in normal adult tissues, but significantly upregulates in certain tumors, making H60 a key player in tumor immunity. This upregulation allows for enhanced susceptibility of tumor cells to NK cell-mediated lysis, as NKG2D binds to H60 with a much higher affinity compared to Rae-1. Competitive interaction between H60 and Rae-1 for NKG2D occupancy underscores H60′s importance in modulating immune responses, particularly in cancer immunology. Using anti-H60 antibody (E-18) in research can provide valuable insights into NK cell activation mechanisms and potential therapeutic implications of targeting NKG2D ligands in cancer treatment.
