Datasheets
  • GTBP Antibody (F-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 λ, cited in 1 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 63-97 near the N-terminus of GTBP of human origin
  • recommended for detection of GTBP of human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • m-IgG Fc BP-HRP and m-IgG1 BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for GTBP Antibody (F-1) for WB applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with GTBP Antibody (F-1) (see ordering information below).

GTBP Antibody (F-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects GTBP in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GTBP, also known as MSH6, plays a crucial role in the DNA mismatch repair process, which is essential for maintaining genomic stability and preventing mutations that can lead to cancer, particularly hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer (HNPCC). GTBP is primarily located in the nucleus, where GTBP forms a heterodimer with MSH2 to recognize and bind to G/T mismatches in DNA, thereby facilitating the repair of erroneous DNA sequences. Proper functioning of GTBP is vital, as defects in GTBP can result in microsatellite instability, a hallmark of various cancers. GTBP (F-1) antibody enables researchers to gain insights into the mechanisms of DNA repair and the implications of GTBP dysfunction in cancer biology, making GTBP (F-1) monoclonal antibody an invaluable tool for studies focused on genetic stability and tumorigenesis.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-271979 P appropriate for?

Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
