GPR119 (D-5) is a monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects GPR119 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-GPR119 antibody (D-5), offered in non-conjugated form as well as a variety of conjugated options, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, is designed to target GPR119, a member of the G protein-coupled receptor (GPR) family. These receptors are characterized by seven transmembrane domains and play crucial roles in transmitting extracellular signals into intracellular responses via G protein activation. GPR119, composed of 335 amino acids, is predominantly expressed in the pancreas and functions as an endogenous receptor for lysophosphatidylcholine (LPC). LPC is a lipid mediator that plays a key role in insulin secretion from pancreatic beta-cells. This interaction suggests GPR119′s potential as a therapeutic target for the development of novel anti-diabetic treatments, emphasizing its importance in glucose homeostasis and metabolic regulation.
