GnT-V Antibody (3E9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects GnT-V protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-GnT-V antibody (3E9) is available as the non-conjugated format. UDP-N-acetylglucosamine:α mannoside β1,6 N-acetylglucosaminyltransferase, commonly referred to as GnT-V, is crucial for modifying N-linked glycoproteins, which significantly impacts cellular functions and disease processes, particularly in cancer. GnT-V (3E9) antibody recognizes the protein primarily in the Golgi apparatus, where GnT-V facilitates GlcNAc residue addition to glycoproteins - a modification essential for proper protein folding, stability, and function. This Golgi localization ensures glycoproteins are correctly processed before transport to final destinations, influencing cell signaling and interactions. GnT-V expression increases in various cancers, including hepatocellular carcinoma, contributing to tumor progression and metastasis. Regulation of GnT-V by transcription factors involved in angiogenesis and tumor cell invasion highlights GnT-V′s role in cancer biology, making GnT-V a potential target for therapeutic intervention.

I need an anti-mouse GnT-V antibody... The one discontinued (https://www.scbt.com/scbt/product/gnt-v-antibody-s-15) leads me here. Does it have cross-reactivity with the mouse GnT-V protein?

Can sc-293276: GnT-V (3E9) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-293276: GnT-V (3E9) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections.
