SEE ALSO...

GMEB-1 Antibody (H-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects GMEB-1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GMEB-1 (H-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. GMEB-1, or Glucocorticoid modulatory element-binding protein 1, is a 573 amino acid protein characterized by one SAND domain and belongs to the KDWK family of combinatorial transcription modulators. GMEB-1 plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression in response to glucocorticoids by binding to glucocorticoid modulatory elements in target gene promoters, enhancing transcriptional activity. GMEB-1 is found in both cytoplasm and nucleus, where GMEB-1 forms a heterodimer with GMEB-2, facilitating parvovirus DNA replication. GMEB-1 also interacts with initiator procaspases to inhibit caspase-induced apoptosis, highlighting GMEB-1′s importance in cellular survival mechanisms. Due to alternative splicing, GMEB-1 exists in two isoforms, adding complexity to GMEB-1′s functional roles in cellular processes.

Can GMEB-1 (H-2): sc-376775 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your question. Yes, GMEB-1 (H-2): sc-376775 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
