    SEE ALSO...

Glucosidase IIβ Antibody (H-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Glucosidase II beta protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Glucosidase IIβ (H-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Glucosidase II beta protein plays a crucial role in processing N-linked glycoproteins within the endoplasmic reticulum, where Glucosidase II beta protein is involved in trimming glucose residues from glycan chains. This process is essential for proper protein folding and quality control, as misfolded proteins are typically targeted for degradation. Glucosidase II beta protein forms a heterodimeric complex with Glucosidase IIα, which serves as the catalytic core. Glucosidase II beta protein is rich in glutamic and aspartic acid residues and contains a putative endoplasmic reticulum retention signal (HDEL) at its C-terminus, ensuring localization within the ER. The phosphorylated form of Glucosidase II beta protein is found in the plasma membrane and is highly expressed in fibroblasts stimulated by fibroblast growth factor and in epidermal carcinoma cells. Initially purified from a human carcinoma cell line, Glucosidase II beta protein has been identified as a potential substrate for protein kinase C, highlighting Glucosidase II beta protein′s significance in cellular signaling pathways.
