GLI-2 Antibody (C-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects GLI-2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GLI-2 (C-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. GLI-2 protein, also known as GLI family zinc finger 2, functions as a crucial transcriptional activator in regulating gene expression during embryonic development. GLI-2 localizes in the nucleus, influencing various developmental processes and cellular functions. GLI-2 involvement in the Sonic Hedgehog signaling pathway proves essential for proper tissue patterning and organogenesis. Mutations or dysregulation of GLI-2 can lead to developmental disorders such as holoprosencephaly type 9, highlighting GLI-2′s critical role in embryogenesis. GLI-2 gene is located on human chromosome 2q14.2 and produces five alternatively spliced isoforms, each potentially contributing to diverse functional roles in cellular processes.
