SEE ALSO...

GIPC2 Antibody (G-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects GIPC2 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GIPC2 (G-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. GIPC2, also known as SEMCAP2, is a 315 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in cellular signaling and organization due to its PDZ domain, which is a multifunctional protein-protein interaction motif. This domain is essential for the clustering of signaling molecules and the formation of protein networks, making GIPC2 vital for processes such as cell adhesion and growth factor signaling. GIPC2 is predominantly expressed in the kidney and colon, with lower expression levels in the adult liver, and GIPC2 interacts with proteins like SEMA5A, suggesting involvement in modulating cellular responses that can influence tumorigenesis. The gene encoding GIPC2 is located on human chromosome 1, which encompasses a large portion of the human genome, containing over 3,000 genes and spanning 260 million base pairs. This extensive genetic landscape highlights GIPC2′s importance in various biological processes and potential implications in health and disease.
