SEE ALSO...

GIMAP5 Antibody (E-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects GIMAP5 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-GIMAP5 antibody (E-11) is available as the non-conjugated form. GIMAP5, also known as GTPase, IMAP family member 5, or IAN5 (immunity-associated nucleotide 5), is a 307 amino acid single-pass type IV membrane protein located in the mitochondrial outer membrane. GIMAP5 is a crucial member of the GTP-binding superfamily and the immuno-associated nucleotide (IAN) subfamily, playing a significant role in T-cell survival and maintaining mitochondrial integrity. GIMAP5 is predominantly expressed in CD4 and CD8-positive T-cells, monocytes, and B-lymphocyte-derived neoplasms, highlighting GIMAP5′s importance in immune responses. GIMAP5 exists in two alternatively spliced isoforms and is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 7q36.1. Notably, defects in GIMAP5 have been linked to systemic lupus erythematosus, underscoring GIMAP5′s relevance in autoimmune diseases.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-377307 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
