GIMAP4 Antibody (C-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects GIMAP4 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-GIMAP4 antibody (C-4) is available as the non-conjugated form. GIMAP4, also known as GTPase IMAP family member 4, is a crucial protein within the GTPase of the immunity-associated protein family, which consists of seven members encoded by genes located on human chromosome 7. This 329 amino acid protein features five conserved motifs characteristic of GTP-binding proteins and a C-terminal coiled-coil region that facilitates protein-protein interactions. GIMAP4 plays a significant role in regulating lymphomyeloid cell survival, particularly influencing the apoptosis of T cells during their differentiation. GIMAP4 exhibits intrinsic GTPase activity that is highly dependent on magnesium concentration for GDP binding, highlighting its importance in cellular signaling pathways. Expression of GIMAP4 is specifically observed in resting T and B lymphocytes, with levels significantly decreasing upon activation of these cells, which underscores its potential as a marker for lymphocyte activation status.
