Geminin Antibody (F-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Geminin protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Geminin antibody (F-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Geminin plays a crucial role in regulating DNA replication initiation during the cell cycle, ensuring DNA replicates only once per cycle to maintain genomic stability. Geminin (F-7) antibody inhibits minichromosome maintenance (MCM) proteins assembly into the prereplication complex, preventing premature DNA replication. Geminin levels are tightly regulated throughout the cell cycle, reaching lowest during G1 phase and peaking during S, G2, and M phases. Geminin degradation, essential for DNA replication initiation, occurs during mitosis through anaphase-promoting complex (APC)-mediated ubiquitin proteolysis. This precise regulation of Geminin maintains cellular function, as dysregulation can lead to genomic instability and contribute to oncogenesis.
