GDF-15 Antibody (ME-6D10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects growth differentiation factor 15 (GDF-15) in human samples through applications such as flow cytometry (FCM) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). GDF-15 is a member of the transforming growth factor beta (TGF-beta) superfamily and plays a crucial role in various physiological processes, including cell survival and differentiation. GDF-15 is primarily synthesized in epithelial cells and macrophages, with significant expression in adult tissues, particularly in the choroid plexus of the brain, where GDF-15 is secreted into the cerebrospinal fluid.
