GATA-2 Antibody (H-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects GATA-2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-GATA-2 antibody (H-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. GATA-2 plays a crucial role in hematopoiesis and is essential for the development of various blood cell lineages, particularly in the regulation of gene expression during embryonic development. GATA-2 is predominantly expressed in embryonic brain and liver tissues, as well as in endothelial and erythroid cells, highlighting its importance in both developmental and adult hematopoietic processes. GATA-2 interacts with other GATA family members, such as GATA-1 and GATA-3, which are involved in specific lineage differentiation, indicating broader regulatory capabilities. GATA-2 binding to the WGATAR consensus sequence allows modulation of target genes critical for cell fate decisions, making GATA-2 a vital component in transcriptional networks that govern hematopoietic stem cell maintenance and differentiation. Understanding GATA-2 function and interactions is essential for elucidating mechanisms underlying blood cell development and potential implications in hematological disorders.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-515178 P appropriate for?

Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor choice for WB in my handsTried a test sample of H-6 in a WB, but the secondary wouldn't pick it up at all. Assuming because it's an IgM. Switched to Mouse anti-GATA2 (sc-267) and it works beautifully, strong distinct bands with no background.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from
